Jobs for different MSF's (based on prestige, and location)

Hey guys,

I'm inquiring about differences in jobs based on differences in MSF's. For example, we all know that the coveted jobs are IB,HF,PE, maybe VC? However, most of these jobs are realistically only open to those who went to some prestigious schools with excellent alumni base already in pre-stated industries (I know, I know, there are other ways to break into IB/PE/etc, but for generalization sake, let's pretend those don't exist for this thread). Obviously we have MIT, Princeton (which, holy shit, you have to be inhuman based on the accepted candidates resumes), Vandy, WUSTL, Nova, NYU (maybe), Rochester, UVA, UT, etc. However, what about "lesser" schools? Schools like Ohio State, Arizona State, Alabama (although I heard their program is decent), etc. Schools that have decent recognition, just not within the more coveted industries (and yes, I know, people break into IB from the "lesser" schools as well, but let's throw that anomaly out of the window for this post). Let's say you get an MSF from a "lesser" school, what other jobs are available that aren't absolutely mediocre, but also not as lucrative as IB/PE, etc?
