Quant School vs. Computer Science Masters vs. Traditional Finance Masters
Trying to decide between Masters in Computational Finance, Masters in Computer Science, and a regular Masters in Finance.
I have a business undergraduate degree (not finance).
If I opt for A Computer Science masters, I will need to take about 8 undergraduate courses while working a part time job in order to enter a graduate program.
I will need to take about 5 undergrad courses while working part time before entering a graduate computational finance program.
I can get into a traditional finance masters without taking any additional courses.
My concern is that machine learning / data science will have a huge impact on finance as it becomes more established. I don't know the current data, but it seems like it will beat traditional funds in the future, if it isnt already.
I don't want to live in NY or California.
All advice is appreciated.
