Which MSc Finance Should I be targetting?
Hey Everyone,
I want to work in IB preferably in London so I should study in target universities.
Background: Industrial Engineer in Turkiye with 3.24 GPA at the best engineering school in our country (my gpa is low because our university cut all the grading because of covid, 1st in our department has 3.7 gpa. I am currently ranked 25 out of 165)
I have a GMAT focus score of 705 with 100% on quantitative reasoning (top 1% and convert to 750 at gmat classic according to gmac)
I have a financial consulting internship at Mastercard, currently an intern at US-based Search Fund (a small-sized kind of PE firm with 50 M to invest) also doing a senior year project with the pension monitoring center in our country about coming up with a personalized fund design for 15 M pension scheme investors in our country)
Which finance masters I should be targeting realistically? I got accepted into Esade finance msc. I am worried that since my gpa is below 3.3 LBS will not consider my application. I am currently considering HEC Paris, LBS, Bocconi, Saint Gallen, IE Business School. Thanks in advance for any tips.
LSE & Imperial
.
I believe LSE wants 3.5 gpa
If you want to work in London I would clearly pick a UK Masters (Oxford, LBS, Imperial, LSE). Strong network + Graduate Visa + Brand name
This 100%
Don't go to ESADE. Worst case you work for a year (you have picked up some insane internships already), and re-apply to top UK schools next year. Bocconi and HEC are good, but you are going to be fighting like hell to get into the city.
