How to quickly get up to date with market trends, current events?

sigh
Sophomore here. Let's just say I thought I was applying to an IB internship, but it turns out it's more along the lines of S&T. I have an interview coming up and I know almost nothing about the state of the market and things like that. I've also never done any of my own investing or research into specific stocks and such. They might not ask questions about those things, perhaps just behaviorals, but I'd like to be safe. Any last minute advice for catching up?

Thanks!

(I'm familiar with financial terminology, and I have a working knowledge of the technical stuff in IB.)
