Looking for Self Study Materials/Class recs

Hi, I just want to preface this by saying that I have a decent understanding of how markets work, but my knowledge is primarily focused more on private markets. Do you guys recommend any self-study materials that I can at least use to learn the basics and sound halfway knowledgeable? I'm currently doing Applied Econ at Cornell so any class recommendations would also be appreciated.
