Corp Dev to VC

Hey everyone - new to WSO. I started out my career in audit (don't judge) and then transitioned into consulting where I did valuation and financial due diligence (QofE). Didn't go to target school but a top accounting program, have my CPA, and passed CFA Level 1 (I know not that impressive but for context). I recently began in M&A at a Fortune 500 MedTech/Med Device company that is very acquisitive.

I wanted to figure out exit opportunities after I get more experience and have closed some deals. Would VC be an option? What about Med Device-specific PE firms?

Thanks in advance for the advice!
