Trying to Break into Growth Equity

Hello everyone. I am an equity research analyst and have been thinking of pivoting toward growth equity. Also, my experience is in Tech research, and I feel I can really take advantage of my experience and personal interest in a space like that. I was hoping someone can get me some advice:

1) Most of those people I talked to came from IBD background or already had VC experience, so I was wondering how can I position myself for a role like that?

2) Are there any headhunters/recruiters that specialize in the space that might be worth reaching out to?
