Second Career in Financial Advisory/Private Wealth Management?

Currently in a Corporate Finance budget/accounting role at a Fortune 500. I have a Finance Degree and MBA. Very relaxed job with very good work life balance, salary, benefits, etc. The only problem is boredom and stasis.

My plan right now is to stay on my current glide path until I'm 45 to 50 where I would either quit because of financially independence or downsized because I'm too old/expensive. Honestly, either is fine by me. But I will probably have to leave sometime between 45 and 50 for my mental health and sanity.

I want to transition into financial advisory which I think would be fun. I'm already a financial advisor to many of my friends and family and have always had a very keen interest in investing and the markets. It is my main hobby. I've been very successful at it and am on track to meet my financial independence goals.

The big problem is I want to actually do financial analysis and not be a glorified car salesman cold calling and door knocking in an Edward Jones type of place. I want to do the financial analysis, asset allocation, portfolio advisory stuff in a support role without having the pressure to bring in the business. Salary is less important than me doing what I want to do cause I'd already have made my money. How do I plan to transition to this? Where do I look? Where are these jobs?
