6 classmates interning with the same group...BAD for Fall recruiting??

6 of my immediate classmates are interning with the same group...I think it negatively impacts my chances during fall recruitment.

To those of you'll that have had an opportunity to observe similar scenarios: how does a recruiter look at 6 students with very similar profiles? Is there anything one can do while interning to distinguish oneself?

I may be wrong but I think recruiters don't care about your profile when it is about making offers to SA; in my opinion they do care about your achievements during the internship.

Just curious, but what's the difference between an immediate classmate and a classmate?

I'll echo Jodhpur. If you execute and are a good person to be around, you should be set up nicely to receive an offer. Your main concern is to stand out as much as possible--not the demographic composition of who else is interning in your group.

what i meant by "immediate classmate" was a student in the exact same program. (6 in MSc Fin Math; vs 2 in MFM, 2 in MEM, 2 in MOR...)

I want to interview with other firms for fall recruiting. Therefore, when another firm looks at 6 resumes that are very similar, this is bound to have an impact on ones decision don't you think?..how does one circumvent this situation?
