Bank of America analysts/SAs

Suppose one is an analyst at bofa in, say, m&a or natural resources. Should you start polishing up the old resume at this point?

I would say that while, yes, all analysts at banks should have their resume ready to go, Bank of America is probably in one of the better positions. They cut very deep this year, and according to Ken Lewis are done. Clearly BofA is solid financially if they are in rumored talks to take on Lehman.

yeah, but I mean bofa

yeah, but I mean bofa acquires lehman, wouldn't they fire lots their own bankers? i mentioned natural resources specifically b/c lehman is supposedly tops in that sector, whereas bofa isn't well known.

I'm no expert on this, but I can imagine a lot of BofA bankers being replaced by Lehman Brothers bankers, if this deal happens...which may be the only comfort that SOME Lehman guys can grasp to...again I'm just speculating...

Also, I agree with an earlier post that said EVERYONE should be polishing up the old resume at this point.
