Branch Stockbroker/Consultant

Is anyone working or have worked in a branch financial consultant or salaried stockbroker role for a company like Schwab, Fidelity, ETrade, TD Ameritrade?

What's your average day like? What are the asset accumulation quotas like on a monthly, quarterly basis? Aside from general paperwork and following up with warm leads, taking care of walk ins, anything else to know?

In the discount brokerage space, it is more so about asset retention. People move their assets around frequently in my experience. There is a sales pressure that exists, but not that of a BB PWM or a Wirehouse.

Specific targets will vary based on company.

But in the discount space, how are you getting a client to move say 100k over if you have been told, unlike a BB PWM shop, not to give investment advice? Why would someone roll money over if you can't highlight a benefit of one fund over another?
