There is not much talk about mutual funds on this board. Does anyone know anything about The Capital Group Companies?
Would an investment research position within a large mutual fund like this be a good opportunity with strong opportunities within the hedge fund community later down the line?
Any ideas about salary's at places like this?

What does anyone know about Capital Group. They are obviously a very large mutual fund investor, but is this the type of place one might want to exit to after a stint in IB?

Hi all,
Was just wondering if you guys have any knowledge on what really sets Capital Group apart (in both a positive and negative way) from other funds?
I know it is a long-only fund with big scale (+$1.3tn AUM) but in terms of maybe investment philosophy (or indeed anything else), what makes them special that a buy-side role seeker would choose them?
