Citigroup- Derivatives and Structured Products Group- Toronto
I'm starting a 4-month internship there in January and was wondering if anyone has any idea what this position entails. I believe it's a Capital Markets (DCM?) position. Originally, I was applying for trading positions (credit/equity derivatives, structured products/finance, options) and somehow ended up with this position. I know it involves strucuturing for clients but, beyond that, I'm pretty lost. Interviewer mentioned that typical hours are 8:30-8:30 everyday.
How would you compare/contrast a structuring role in DCM with a structuring/trading role on a trading desk?
I recognize this question sounds stupid from someone that already got the job. Thanks!
