Need help. Currently a Management Trainee and finance opportunities are limited at Company X. Looking for an entry level research analyst position. Was told my resume needs to be more traditional and pass the second hiring manager review.
Selected for an 18th month Management Rotation Program at Life Inc. Global Headquarters: Investments, Field Insurance Management, and Insurance Support Operations
Created quarterly and annual credit reviews on municipal and corporate bond debt holdings. Analyzed financial statements and created spreadsheets to determine proper debt metrics. Performed relative value, cash flow and composition analyses while forecasting trends based on different economic variables. Proposed “buy” or “hold” recommendations relative to the investment parameters.
Wrote a whitepaper for the Investment Committee about the impact of the Affordable Care Act on the pharmaceutical industry and discussed segment details for feedback during department meetings. Research was presented to the group for industry outlook and investment action.
Analyzed the detailed Insurance agency report (214) and determined it was limited in its flexibility for VPs to review specific agency trends. Researched methods on excel and created custom reports based on VP needs, i.e. debt accrual or life insurance growth trends.
Created a survey for the August 2012 insurance agent school to determine what sales habits were being instilled by new insurance agents. After reviewing agent experiences, home office and industry research, presented a successful habits speech to the agents during new agent school.
Researched and created parish/council analyses for 68 jurisdictions as part of the New Council Development initiative introduced during the State Deputies Meeting in June 2012. The project results were used to meet a respective jurisdiction’s NCD quota within the first 12 weeks of the fraternal calendar year.
Updated, revised and wrote content for the new Management Employee Handbook. Moreover, met with respective content stakeholders concerning industry standards and recommendations for content feedback and approval.
Organized P&L statements for the finance team to review the bank's fixed expenses, mortgage delinquencies, and payroll figures.
Created an analysis of branch performances based on historical data and modeled future growth. Presented the analysis to the new CFO indicating what specific position each respective branch trend was under: saturated, declining, and/or exponential growth.
Researched banking data, developed, administered and analyzed competitor surveys. Presented recommendations regarding possible changes in the bank’s branch hours, and card/checking fees.
