GE Corporate Audit Staff: insights and how ibanks view CAS program?
So I was wondering if anyone has insights as to how the Corporate Audit Staff (CAS) program at GE is viewed at I-banks? Would banks look at hiring someone off the program for an analyst or associate position?
To give a little background on CAS, it's GE's internal audit team, which travels to different locations around the globe to review a specific business. Every 4 months, the team relocates. The majority of the people in it have a prior 2 years of experience at GE in one of the leadership programs, most commonly in FMP.
Its a great program for anyone trying to accelerate their career at GE, but does it mean anything to people outside the company? From what I've heard, business schools give it some respect but I can't confirm that 100%.
Any thoughts appreciated. If anyone in banking has no idea wtf CAS is, that would be helpful to know as well, as that would probably mean it doesn't do much for a person's IB career.
