GMAT scores send to schools

Hi everyone!

I got a question about the GMAT and the scores they send to schools. On their website they say you can list up to 5 schools before your exam and they will send your scores (all of them, so if it's your 3rd time, the first 2 bad attempts will be send to those schools too) to them.

Now there is also an option to pay a fee afterwards and send it to an additional school. I heard people saying that if you take the exam without listing schools before the exam so no school will automatically get your grade, and then by paying a fee afterwards, they will send that particular school ONLY your last results.

Now I don't know if this is true or not? Is there any way to take the exam multiple times in order to get the highest possible score and only send that school to your schools? (without cancelling the score before seeing it obviously)

Cheeeeeers!
