GS Credit Risk Summer Analyst Interview

Just got the call from GS HR that I've been selected for first round phone interviews next week for both Credit and Market Risk. I was curious what type of questions they will ask you. Any advice from people who have gone through the process would be awesome.

Questions I have been asked in Credit Risk interviews with other BBs (never interview for CR with Goldman): - What is Credit Risk - Why Credit Risk - What do you see the economy doing - What do you look at to assess a company's credit worthiness (always mentioned financial metrics as well as the industry, economy, and political environment (fear of expropriation? harmful legislation?)).

Besides that, just normal fit/behavioral stuff.

Got some friends interviewed at credit risk at GS, first round I heard is usually very behavioral with at most 3 three technical questions relevant to your previous working experience. Good luck!

Live like an artist and work like an analyst......

I just looked at your screen name and realized that you probably have OCR. No such luck for me. I'm going to apply online, and hopefully get a call.

I have this first round interview too next week. James - GS doesn't do Credit Risk OCR at my school so I applied online via GS Accelerated Interviews and got the interview. So they def look at online applications.

I did not know about that. Kicking myself. Can you please explain the accelerated process, and is the deadline for the Finance Division accelerated process over?

Thanks.
