How to begin the career as a college student

I'm new here.
After one year Forex trading, I learned a lot. Prior to this, I have 3 years stock experience and made some profit. Now I'm a junior in College, sociology and history major, think about transfer to Chicago in order to get a second major in math or finance. I know there are a lot of talented pro trader here. I wish you guys can give me an advice for how to begin the career, Like apply an intern first? I had a very good math record in college. (Statistics A-, Calculus A-)...

I know trading groups like DRW is really hard to get in. But I still wanna give a shot.
BTW, is school very important? I mean, I was told only top school students like Northwestern and U Chicago have the chance to get into this field but I don't believe it.

Thanks for help.
