I accidentally created a tech startup valued at 40MM in the office
Currently work at a MM investment bank and was working pretty late last night. It was a Friday and very few people were still in the office. I said fuck it and started programming new back-end software to optimize Netflix's streaming capabilities by tenfold because I was bored, and it was actually working and even allowed for 4k 60fps videos to play with no delays, it even got to the point where I blacked out from all the intense work I've done.. By this point I'm fully turned on and just start coding. Like max force, I'm just going at it. I thought no one would see me but then an intern walks by and sees what's happening, he literally breaks down and starts crying (He's a Penn State kid for reference) and one of the analysts comes over and asks what's wrong, he said (my name) is trying to code an exit opp for himself. The analyst tells a director and I literally get fired. I told him I wasn't trying to retire early by making a tech startup, but they literally have video of me doing it on the security camera. What should my next move be?
