Is an internship at Vanguard able to feed to wall street internship the following year?

Hi everyone. I am a sophomore finance major at a nontarget private school (top 30). I received an internship offer in corporate finance for Vanguard, the second largest Asset Management firm in the world. I am a sophomore and the internship is for juniors so I am very lucky to get it. However, I want to be on Wall St. for my junior year in a BB. I did receive another offer from a less prestigious firm for corporate finance and M&A rotational program.

I am stressed on which offer to choose which would put me in a better state to get to Wall street.

Thoughts?

Thank you very much!

If I was you I'd look into breaking into AM at Vanguard instead of breaking into a BB. IB is not all that anymore....

If you want to do banking, take the M&A internship. That will give you direct experience at a large company. You don't need to work for a financial services company - there is a good chance that the M&A team at Dominion is full of ex-bankers.

Vanguard no doubt, especially for a sophomore, that's money. You could probably get a solid network there for Wall Street, the guys in charge of those portfolios for the MFs and ETFs are the real deal.
