So I know there have already been some threads about this, but I wanted to share my situation. I interviewed with a firm about two weeks ago and they said they would get back to be in about a week after the interview. A week past and I heard nothing and so I gave the HR guy a call and he said I was still under consideration but a decision still hasn't been made and he should get back to me in a few days to let me know. It has now been another week and he still hasn't gotten back to me. At what point is it appropriate to call him again? I also have thought about sending an email to one of the analysts I interviewed with to see if he can help me, good idea?

try sending a thank you card to the people who gave you / granted you an interview ---- this is something you should have sent immediatly after the interview
I appreciate the advice but I obviously sent everyone a proper thank you as soon as I left the office.
I received an offer back in January and I still haven't been given a start date. The job is in structured finance, and they've pushed back the start date announcement for my class twice. I'm afraid this might be related to the subprime mess. What do you industry guys/gals think or know?
