Networking follow ups - create new email subject or continue existing thread?
Say you're just continuing conversation with people over the course of months/year.
Do you continue sending new emails by replying through your initial email thread?
Or do you always compose a new email?
I have been doing the former with alumni I have met in the Spring over the course of 4-5 months and it's been completely fine.
I like to continue the existing thread, whoever you are emailing can read the previous messages as a refresher. Use common sense though, if for some reason the thread is too long start a new email. If you know the person well enough continuing the thread is not as important. Either way you aren't going to not get a job because what you chose to do.
