Questions to ask the CIO?
Hello everyone, got an interview coming up with the CIO of a macro hedge fund, I was wondering what might be some appropriate questions to ask something that high level? I am really at a loss to what might be a good question that shows I am inquisitive, I could ask him the standard but I feel that is just too boring.
Are you meeting with these guys? So jealous.
Close but not quite
Try to be thoughtful...in those situations, i try to ask questions based on what we talked about (tough to prepare for these, as they can really go anywhere) -Generally you can ask about where he fits in within the firm/how his role has developed -His investment process/philosophy/how he thinks about investing..why they sell..do they pair trade etc -Historically, what kind of people have been successful/value add -Vision for the firm - from an AUM perspective (is this where they are comfortable managing/are they expanding) - what they like being in now from a risk/reward perspective
