Quick Question Regarding GPA
Hi All,
I am helping a friend fix up his/her resume. The GPA is not high, ~2.5. However, the resume will not be for any IB/S&T spots...more for Operations/BO Finance/Whatever.
I am wondering if I should have him/her leave the GPA on with a 2.5 or get rid of it entirely.
I ask because I know some banks just straight up toss it out without a GPA, but a 2.5 would probably be a red flag as well. Some experience would be a Wealth Management gig at Merrill.
Again, this isn't for FO spots, so I am assuming it wouldn't be AS bad regardless.
Thanks in advance

Try putting on his major GPA
Try putting on his major GPA if it is higher. Honestly I wouldn't put it on as I am looking at my schools career website at BO positions and they require a 3.0 minimum. With a GPA that low I would take anything I can get.
Rephrase the
Rephrase the question..."Should one blatantly list something on their resume that is a weakness?"
The answer is easy...No.
Thanks
Thanks for the tips. I agree, but they COULD say,
"Well this person sucked ass academically. Let's see how the rest of the resume is to make up for the suck-assed-ness."
Or they wouldn't spend the extra 6 seconds.
Any other input?
