Thank you letter
Interviewed yesterday with a BB. Was looking at a lateral hire. Interviewer said I have the perfect skill set but I haven't been trained well enough in the MM. Therefore hes going to have to pass cos he's not able to slot me in and he doesn't have a team where someone can train me. He added hes going to have to think about it.
Received feedback from HR that hes filled that particular position.
So I tried selling and selling and said I'd put in overtime (Over the sleepless nights that I already have), I'd train with a different division - basically I'd do whatever it takes to get it and that every BB is going to say the same thing. So when am I going to get a chance?
I have 3 questions
1. Did I sound like I'm 'begging'?
2. I yet have to write a thank you e-mail. What should I say? Thank you for being candid?
3. Do you think he meant that I had an opportunity and he needs to think about it or was he just saying 'No' really nicely. Do you think I need to follow up with him on that?
Thanks!
Just to add to my previous post, he said he will think about it for another position (more junior)
