Training the Street Workshop at Bulge Bracket

I recently applied to a "Training the Street workshop" event being held at the HQ of a bulge bracket. Last week I was notified by a recruiter via email that I was selected. Other than the great opportunity of gaining some knowledge about finance, is this a good sign? Are these events open to anyone breathing or does being selected mean you're a good candidate for SA? Would love some insider thoughts.
