How to buy a stock...
I want to buy SJM Holdings. The problem is, I've never purchased a company outside of the US. When I pull up the ticker on scottrade, I can only buy the pink sheets: SJMHF. Is this right? Is there anyway I can buy the actual stock? HKG:0880 ? Thanks

Anyone follow TJX? I have been watching it for a little while and am wondering what people think regarding the possibility of a split soon. Historically it has split around the $40 mark. Closed yesterday over $49. Seems to be a sector outperformer in terms of profits, margins, inventory, etc......

I have seen countless threads on this, but I can't determine what the best method is. Do big companies have in-house brokers? 2. I am having trouble understanding the underlying...

Qual vs. Quan in choosing a stock?
When analyzing a stock, what outweighs the other? I know you must utilize both techniques to successfully choose a stock but I am asking (even if it is 51/49) what do you prefer more on choosing a given stock to invest in? A Quant could analyze BP all day but not expect their recent debacle as a...

Buffet's comments on Kraft deal
Buffet had these comments for the Kraft deal that closed yesterday: Mr Buffett , who holds more than 9 per cent of Kraft, said the company was worth more than its current stock price – down 2 per cent at $28.72 in early Wall Street trading on Wednesday – and that its use of stock in the Cadbury...
Citi stock
Bullish or Bearish? I seem to be bullish. Citi closed at 3.53 today and I feel like in the short run there might be a downswing with their TARP repayment (which they have started) but i think in the future it will jump up a lot. I feel it is an attractive buy because it is so cheap right now and has...
