Investment Banking Analyst

Interview took place at the career center at my university. It was a 2 on 1 type interview with two Associates from the company. The first 15 minutes was primarily fit type questions asking "why banking?" "what do you know about what we do?" etc. I came from an unconventional background so they were interested in finding out why I wanted to do IB. The next part was about 20 mins of basic technical questions about EV, EBITDA multiples, and the like. Since I came from a non finance background the technicals were probably not as difficult as someone would have gotten that had previous experience. The guys were pretty nice and friendly but I didn't do that well on the technicals since I didn't prepare as much as I should have. They followed up immediately the next day and let me know that they would not be continuing the process and that was the end of that.
