DFJ Athena is a Korea-focused venture capital firm that makes investments in companies with broad technology categories. Our portfolio includes companies focused on software, semiconductors, networking systems, network-based services, and CleanTech. The principals bring a broad array of technical, financial, and operational experience to making each investment decision and supporting each portfolio company.

In 1997, the principals of DFJ Athena had previously founded Athena Technology Ventures, a Silicon Valley based venture capital fund with a strong investment track record. Its corporate partners include Korean conglomerates who are market leaders in semiconductor, consumer electronics, networking systems, and telecommunication services. Recognizing an increasing importance of Korean market to the global economy and leveraging an unequaled access to Korea market, the team launched DFJ Athena, a Korea fund together with Draper Fisher Jurvetson in January 2007 focusing on cross-border investments between Korea and the global markets.
