Overall, the experience was what you would expect- Phone call with fit questions and some questions to make sure you know your stuff. The in-person interview consisted of scenario based, standard lengthy finance and valuation questions, more fit, etc. If you have ever interviewed at bulge or elite boutiques, this will be a walk in the park.

Walk me through the financial statements, the way the link together, and how you would generate a DCF from them.
Walk me through a DCF. What is WACC? How do you calculate it? What is a cap rate? What does it mean? How do exit multiples and cap rates correlate?

Principals from the firm recruited at the campus discussing the glamour of the company and the benefits to working at a boutique firm. I interviewed over the phone, in person, and met with the principals at a couple of recruiting events. My time at the firm was fantastic and it's a great place to work.

Please describe a DCF and describe the variables that effect the value the most.

This was a tough question, as I hadn't been involved in banking before, but after a logical walk through, the interviewer seemed pleased, but pushed me further and further until I couldn't answer anymore.
