While this question is fairly straight forward you should actually *understand* the responses you give. If they have the impression you just memorized the answers, they will ask, ask ask. I made it to the final round.
First round consists of meeting other candidates at a hotel for a company presentation with many traders/professional present.
Second round consists of interview with two traders + HR being a mix of fit and technical
Third round is a super day. With trading simulations, negotiations and around 4 interviews with traders. Mostly fit with the occasional technical. e.g. Japan is hit by an earthquake, what do you invest in?
- Answer included thoughts on: JPYUSD exchange rates, LNG-demand and construction.
- I was asked additional technicals on LNG/Shipping prices including historical TCE rates / LNG rates

- Tough question to answer and they will pin you for what you answer

- all were very relaxed
-everyone was very nice, no-one was out to get me
First was with the head of local HR:
- very nice lady, wanted to gauge my fit for the company and my understanding of what Glencore does
- had done interviews for S&T at BB banks and these were a lot more loose, less predictable, but much less pressured
- general questions about why the company and why I wanted to work in risk
- lasted about 35 mins
Second was with co-head of risk:
- lots of stuff on my background
- questions about the markets, my thoughts on commodities etc
- was a very relaxed interview, with no brain teasers or curve balls
- lasted 20 mins
Third interview was with the other co-head of risk:
- technical things about my degree
- loose conceptual questions about risk and trading
- fit questions about myself and how I found fit in a team
- lasted about 30 minutes
