Equity Research Summer Analyst at JP Morgan Asset Management

My school is a target, but AM doesn't recruit there so I just sent in an application online. Was contacted for a phone interview about a month later, which consisted of your classic fit stuff along with some discussion of my previous experience in AM, some basic technicals on valuation, and a quick stock pitch. Got the invite to the super day about a week later, superday consisted of 2-3 interviews with analysts covering fit, technicals, and more stock pitches, followed by an excel/skills test. About 80% of candidates were sent home immediately after the skills test, and based on comments in subsequent interviews it seemed to play a large factor in hiring decisions. Final interview was with head of research and consisted of more fit/background questions and a discussion of the industry and why I'd want to work in AM, along with some more technicals. Received my offer 3-4 days later.
