JP Morgan Investment Banking Summer Associate

Emory's Goizueta Business School is a core school for JP Morgan, which means alumni from the bank come to campus 2-3 times to talk with the group of interested investment banking candidates. It is the role of the student to form genuine relationships with the bankers and get referred to other members of a banker's team based on the student's interest in that product or coverage group. Do your research on each group and why you would fit best based on background and interest. Touch points are key with all banks, but especially with a bank that takes a much time as JP Morgan does with its core schools, so be prepared with well thought out questions and don't be afraid to speak in front of your peers to ask them. Once December comes around, the wine and cheese circuit dies down quite a bit with expectations students are getting very comfortable with technical questions. Use WSO guides! For interviews the first week of January, expect two 30 minute interviews with 2 JPM bankers each interview.
