Summer Intern

I first had a personal interview with an analyst in Madrid. Very basic stuff, he checked my background, asked me a few personal questions and a few technical ones... Pretty much the typical questions you get on an IB interview.

Then 4 months after (I thought I had been rejected by then) they called me for an assesment centre round in the London office.

There we first got a case study. They gave us a 6-10 pages M&A case and we were required to analyze all the details for 45 minutes and then do a 20 minutes presentation to a team member. The presentation had to follow a certain structure, as you had to answer a few questions while presenting your conclusions.

Then we got a group discussion based on the previous case study. It was a role play were they told you which company you should support for the merger and you had to give arguments on why would you get that one.

After that we also had two personal interviews with the typical questions, such as walk me through your CV, tell me a relevant experience which shows X, Brainteasers and guesstimates.

After that I went back home and received the final answer after a week.
