They founded the company in March 2002 on the belief that long term wealth accumulation is derived from a conservative, value equity investing philosophy coupled with low portfolio turnover, minimal expenses, and selective hedging.

This culminated with the launch of the VN Capital Fund I, LP in June 2002, a fund containing a concentrated portfolio of 8-12 intensively researched small cap stocks from basic industries that are either overlooked by the broad investment community or that are unfairly tainted by news affecting their respective economic areas.
