Advice for hitting the ground running?

Hey all. I just accepted an offer to be an investment analyst at a foundation with an endowment >$3B AUM

Per the team, my role will primarily screening for new investment opportunities from PE, VC, equities, fixed income and others, manager due diligence, and updates to models in Excel.

I was just curious if there are any tips or advice anyone has as I'm transitioning from equity research position.

Also, if anyone has any insight into career development (CFA vs. MBA or both) feel free to chime in as well!
