How to get into the Investment / Portfolio Management arm of RIAs and Wealth Managers from IB?
Have an IB background and am mostly seeing opportunities in PE, HF, Private Credit, etc but am more so looking to work on a multi-asset / ETF scale rather than be a stock-picker.
Having difficulty finding these opportunities outside of just networking with different RIAs. Is there a more accurate role title for these positions that I should be searching? Something like "Wealth Management Investment Associate" or "Multi Asset Analyst"? Perhaps a headhunter I should reach out to or are these roles just not as common as I'm thinking for a junior?
Thank you all for the help
hey! I work in one of these type of groups at a T1 BB.
feel free to DM me and I’d be happy to point you in the right direction. I think I kinda understand what you’re looking for but some more info would be helpful.
Thanks I sent a message!
Hey-could I PM as well?
