Analyst Salaries at BBs and EBs - London
Prospective undergrad here, doing some career research/planning (starting uni this September).
Just casually looking through Glassdoor, and it seems like the lowest starting salary is around £38K, but mostly BBs’ salaries are listed.
Can anyone shed some light on analyst salaries for EBs, and/or smaller, regional/local AM firms?
I’ve been searching through WSO as well, but most info seems to be outdated or US-based, not so specific for the U.K. or London in particular.
Thanks a lot for any and all responses in advance.
Typical analyst1 salary is 50k +5k starting bonus. for EBs it can range up to about 60/65k +10k (Centerview). Smaller Boutiques can fall to around 40k. Bonuses (2020 and probably 2021/2022 excluded) tend to be around 50-80% of base.
But honestly the differences post tax are so small that this should never really be a deciding factor.
Not sure why this was MS'd - this is largely accurate.
For first year analysts:
BB: 50,000 base + c.40,000 full year bonus (some are 'stubs', given after 6 months, usually around 20,000)
EB: 50,000 base + c.55,000 full year bonus (PJT has been 70,000 on some occasions) (some offer 55/60 base, too)
Sign-on usually around 6,000 (BB) to 10,000 (EB); dinners, Ubers, other expense policies all equivalent to NY (also heard PJT analysts can expense Uber Blacks too - good life there)
Usually rises 10% a year (both base and bonus)
