Asset Management Firms/Hedge Funds sponsoring overseas hires
Hi guys,
This is my first post here. To introduce myself, I hold an MBA from a reputed business school (IIM) from India. Post my graduation, for a couple of years, I worked at a bulge bracket bank in its Asset Management division (think GS, JPM, MS). Apart from regular college education, I am a CAIA charterholder, FRM all exams passed and a CFA level 3 candidate. I am extremely passionate about asset management and specifically multi asset macro investing. More recently, I have joined a large multi billion dollar AUM family office in Middle East focusing on macro research, asset allocation and subsequent manager selection. However, over the next couple of years, I think it makes sense for me to relocate to New York for the sake of better opportunity set and pedigree of working for well known firms/funds. I understand that the core issue here is finding an employer who is willing to sponsor an overseas hire. I will be thankful to anyone who can share his thoughts, experiences or advice in this regard that may of any help any to me.
Thanks in advance!
