Asset Management Sales - SA and Exit Options
I have an offer for sales and marketing (not placed in a specific department as of yet retail/workplace/institutional) for a large AM in London, but I'm not very well versed on the AM industry in general and how a role in the distribution/client relationship side ranks alongside AM investments and also S&T or ECM in an IB in terms of future exit options, but more importantly salary and salary progression.
Can, and more importantly if pay is my priority, should the role be leveraged to move into a more lucrative buy-side role if that exists?
Also can anyone provide insights into what in a role like this? Hours, stress, salary, etc.
Thanks for any help
Bump?
I'd be happy to chime in. Need more background on your career aspirations, interests, and work life balance goals
Appreciate it, sent you a PM
Interested in this as well. Hours should be much better than IB and in line with S&T
Hey guys, I am interested in this as well. Do you mind sharing some info in this thread with regards to comp, work life balance and exit ops?

Possible to break into an investments related role afterwards if you have the CFA or would you need an MBA?
