Best groups in IB to help move to AM?
If you can choose your IB group which would be the best in helping get an AM position after a couple of years of IB experience? M&A, Equity Advisory, Debt Advisory, Restructuring or a coverage group like Industrials, TMT etc ?Thanks!
Any would work I think but if you do coverage and stick to that sector in AM it may be an advantage.
Probably just pick the best group, aside from DCM/ECM (coverage/M&A better). Industry probably doesn't matter very much, unless it's a more niche coverage like FIG.
