BlackRock "Strategic Product Management" - Front Office / Mid Office / Back Office? Exit Ops?

It's not part of the investments team, but it doesn't seem to be back-office either...how do i classify it? And what are the exit ops?
This is middle office position. I used to work at Blackrock and actually had to get support from these guys for some of the transaction. If you have other opportunities it might be best to support them as I seen these guys just stay there for a period of time.
