Legal&General
Hello,
Haven't seen any discussions about the Legal&General Investment Management group. Any insights about the company, reputation and etc?. It's quite surprising that there is no discussion regarding it since LGIM is a big company.

Hi high_issue, whoops, looks like nobody chimed in here.... maybe one of these discussions below is relevant:
More suggestions...
Hope that helps.
LGIM is the investment arm of Legal & General who are the 2nd largest AM in Europe after Blackrock. They are a very reputable firm but one that flies under the rader compared to PIMCO, Blackrock, Vanguard etc. LGIM is more comparable to M&G, Schroders, AXA IM etc. than the aforementioned firms. British AM's tend to be 'slower' than American AM's and don't tend to pay as much as a result, but provide excellent WLB. People tend to get comfortable in their seats as a result and there is not much turnover. As a group they function similar to any other large investment manager with a wide range of divisions in equities, fixed income and alternative investments. LGIM don't seem to have a set grad scheme like the aforementioned firms, with the majority people transferring over to the firm after some years/months working at a different asset manager, which gives them more of a more 'mature' feel. They have a large European (UK predominately) presence, but not a global footprint as a result they are only really well-known in the UK. Overall, they are a good firm, if I were to rank them compared to other AM's, they are middle market rather than industry leading despite the large AUM.
Wow, you really hit the nail on the head in regard to the AM scene here in Europe and the US. I would SB but for some annoying reason WSO have put a monthly cap so I'll comment and come back to SB when I can haha.
Do you happen to know the comp on Associate level? or the bonus structure?
