question about how to break into AM
Just finished my undergrad. Currently working in DCM in HK, main work is execution and credit advisory which prepare presentation materials and financial model for companies wishing to get a rating for their bond. I have passed CFA level 1 and both part of FRM. My goal is become an equity portfolio manager or some kind similar role in AM or PE. Should I go for some sell side research in a top institution such as GS or MS( not sure if I could get in)? Or an analyst role in top 3 CRA also help before I could jump to buyside as an analyst?
This is a joke question. Obviously the sellside institution. Do you know what junior level analysts do at CRA?
