Regulatory Analyst to Portfolio Manager

Hello Guys,

I would like to become a Portfolio Manager in the future and would like to get some helpful tips. A bit about me.. I am a recent graduate who will begin a role at FINRA as a Regulatory Analyst this summer. I did not get an offer from MS or GS and took the next best thing. I am taking CFA level 1 in December. What are some options I can take to increase my chances of becoming a Portfolio Manager over the long-term? Thank you

PS
I never wanted to be in reg, but it happened....
