Schroders Product Development?

Been eyeing an Product Development Graduate position at Schroders.
The JD describes job responsibilities as “Assist to manage internal product development processes for the Hong Kong fund range and to liaise with other teams for the relevant internal processes if necessary.”
Sounds more like a middle office position though.
Anyone knows what they mainly do and how the comps are? Thanks
