What is an Implementation Associate / Treasury Associate ?

First post on WSO, long time lurker.

Being offered a position as an implementation associate / treasury associate at an alternatives asset management firm with around ~50b AUM.

I'm currently a senior investments analyst working in AM (mostly fixed income, sprinkling in PE and PD), what is an implementation associate, is this a career killer? I don't have an MBA or CFA yet, and the offer hasn't been written out but they're saying 120k base and bonus hasn't been discussed. What are exit ops?

Thanks
