Deals -> Corp Fin

Anyone else go from a deal based role to a corporate one? How did you fare? Did you stay corporate?

I made the jump and am really liking how much more strategy based it is (plus a big raise) but wondering how others are doing and if this is common. Everyone seems to think it was a big jump for my career but they’re biased since they already work in corporate.

Maybe I’ll go back to a deal based role down the line but not sure which career progression is better.
