Do you need an MBA to progress in a Corp Strategy role? I know that getting your foot in the door after two years of IB is fairly standard, but was wondering if you end up hitting a roadblock at some point. I'm sure getting one can't hurt, but want to know if the ever-growing price tag is worth it if you are able to break in after IB.

So, typically the corp strategy higher level guys I've seen have a few years of consulting, an MBA, a few more years of consulting, then they enter at a director level or higher. This isn't exactly a formula though as I've seen guys enter in after consulting / IB before an MBA though and they just continued to progress as they went. I would imagine the MBA roadblock is dependent on the group mostly.
