How does the Terra Network keep its data safe?
The Terra blockchain is protected with a Tendermint-based proof of stake consensus process, in which LUNA token holders stake their tokens as collateral to confirm transactions, with payouts proportional to the amount of LUNA staked. Terra will reward staking with a 7% annual inflation rate to encourage network security. This is to connect validators' interests with the Terra ecosystem's long-term success.
